Kicking It With KIC! - Colleen
1) What sparked your interest in this industry?
Working with cannabis seemed like a lot of fun, but I quickly realized it was much more than just a fun job. I found a way to use my passion for it and its natural benefits to help people.
2) What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The connections I make with the patients, having someone tell me that my recommendation worked for them always makes me so happy.
3) What does Delta 9 PA mean to you?
There's so much passion, positivity, and comradery here, and not just among my coworkers. Delta 9 feels like home and family.
4) As a PA MMJ patient, what are your favorite strains and forms? Why?
Flower, because I'm old school, and RSO because, for me, it's the most medically beneficial. I use RSO for almost everything, pain, stress, anxiety, depression...you name it. Strains is a tough one, but you'll hear me recommend Power Kush to pretty much everyone and I love me some heavy indicas and it doesn't get much heavier than Dank Commander.
5) If you could create your own strain, what would it be?
Strawberry Wedding! Strawberry Kush x Wedding Cake
6) What do you hope to see in the industry as it progresses in Pennsylvania?
I'd love to see patients be able to grow their own medicine, I'd also really like to see canna-cooking classes and cannabis friendly/supportive atmospheres.
7) Is there more you'd like to learn about cannabis?
There's so much but cannabis can be very helpful in opioid recovery and that's something I'd really like to learn more about.
8) What is one thing you want to help patients understand about medical marijuana or the program?
I want to help patients understand all of the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding cannabis and people who use it
